I am Marion Grace - Part 2
In part one I mentioned that I now have a banner and a mission. Today I would like to share with you a few of the main themes that I believe people need to realize are in God’s word and so valuable to their Christian life. These are areas that the enemy tries so hard to corrupt and steal.
My first banner is “No Condemnation”
There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, Romans 8:1
God is not mad at you no matter who you are or what you have done. He loves you more than you can imagine and you never have to perform for him or earn a gold star. He is never disappointed in you. None of us are perfect, especially me, and I know now that when I miss it I can just go to my loving heavenly father and confess it to him for full forgiveness and restoration. There is no waiting period or penance to pay. It is “Just as if I had never sinned”. If he can let it go and forget about it, then you should too.
My second banner is, “You are dearly loved”.
God created you exactly as he wanted (and needed) you. You are his perfect creation even with your so-called flaws. This one is dear to my heart because I have a lot of personality flaws. I am opinionated, bold, impatient, stubborn, cynical, and blunt (in my natural self). This doesn’t paint what most think of your picture-perfect Christian, does it? Well, guess what? It turns out I need to have a lot of those traits to do the particular thing that God has called me to do. I do not have to change who I am or try to clean myself up according to anyone else's standards. God made me as I am on purpose and for a purpose. He loves you just the way you are.
Third- “Just stand still and see the salvation of your God”.
God has so many ways to set you free that you could never imagine them all. He never once told us to fix our own problems or deal with our issues by ourselves. He gave us the Holy Spirit to live inside us continually for a reason. He is our helper. God told us to cast our cares, not worry over them (I Peter 5:7). We get ourselves into trouble when we try to help God instead of letting him do what he does best, delivering us. We are supposed to let go and let God and get to our business of living in peace.
We will continue with banner number four, “Kicking over sacred cows” in part three.
With God’s love, Marion
